Quantum Leap episode review — 5.19 — Memphis Melody
Original air date: April 20, 1993

Rating: 8/10
I love Elvis, so of course I was bound to love the Elvis episode of Quantum Leap. What I like about this episode is that though Sam is Elvis, he isn’t there to help Elvis, considering Elvis was obviously discovered. However, when his attempts to help someone else end up hurting Elvis’s chances of being discovered, he has to improvise.
This episode is very entertaining and has some great music. I’m sure it’s not Bakula singing, because it sounds just like Elvis. I’d almost assume they somehow isolated the King’s vocals, but it’s probably more likely an Elvis impersonator. Anyways, it’s light fare, but it works.
