Second Viewing: Christine (1983)

Christine is a classic example of a story I couldn’t give two fucks about, but it’s elevated by solid filmmaking. John Carpenter put in some work here, with some fine direction and possibly his best score.

But at the end of the day, it is a killer car movie. And it’s mostly what you’d expect from that premise. This might easily have been a made for TV type movie, though, and Carpenter makes it feel far grander than that.
