Second Viewing: Kid Galahad (1962)

This Elvis-starring remake is a weird little musical romantic sports drama. And it’s pretty fun. Elvis is convincing enough as a boxer (I’ve seen far worse from that era), and it’s great to see Charles Bronson in there.

The musical sequences are obviously the highlights. “I Got Lucky” makes for a very fun scene.

This is probably in the top half of Elvis films, but it’s far from the best. But it’s a hard movie not to enjoy. It’s pure fun.
