Second Viewing: Strange Brew (1983)

Strange Brew is an uneven comedy. It’s basically a cartoon of a movie, so a lot of the humor is very over the top, and I generally don’t like these moments as much. It’s stronger when it’s just hte interaction between Bob and Doug.
Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis are so good in their roles that they are able to make even some of the more absurd moments work, but even when those moments don’t work, we still have these solid comedic performances to carry us through.
It’s a minor classic.
