Second Viewing: Train to Busan (2016)

Train to Busan is the best kind of emotional roller coaster. It’s a zombie movie that’s so much more interesting for its characters than for the zombies themselves, which are pretty great in their own right.
They move very distinctly and contort their bodies into all sorts of disturbing shapes.
But the characters remain so interetsing that it becomes something more than zombie film. There are plenty of arcs, plenty of social commentary with them. It all just works so well. It’s a fantastic script, and the performances are fantastic as well.
