Second Viewing: You’re Next (2011)

Given that most home invasion movies are basically the same plot, with the same themes, I reallly appreciate this movie’s uniqueness. It appears as if it’s about the randomness of violence, but really it takes some turns, and the home invaders have motivation.
This movie also has one of the best ever final girls in Sharni Vinson’s Erin. She kicks a ton of ass.
This is a very fun movie. It starts out pretty slow, and it very much feels like an indie horror almost mumblegore movie. But it becomes something else, and I’m grateful for it.
