Following up on the gang of kids meeting up with Eleven, they take her to the Wheelers’ home and hide her in the basement. She’s slow to communicate, as she was before, but when she’s alone with Mike the next day, she reveals a bit more. She’s in danger, with some bad men coming for her, so Mike promises to not let his mother know about her.

Meanwhile, Mike’s older brother, Nancy (Natalia Dyer), continues to date cool guy and douchebag Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), leading the usually reserved Nancy to loosen up and party, to the chagrin of her only close friend, Barb (Shannon Purser).

Jonathan tracks down his and Will’s estranged father, but finds that he apparently has nothing to do with Will’s disappearance. We see a nice little flashback to Jonathan introducing Will to The Clash, and here’s where I’ll say that this episode had a much better soundtrack than the last one.
