Original release date: July 4, 2019
Directors: The Duffer Brothers
Writers: The Duffer Brothers

Rating: 7/10

With both plots coming together and all of our characters now in one location, we know this drill by now. They split up on their separate missions that complement each other.

Dustin, Steve, Robin, and Erica head to the top of the hill, where Dustin’s radio tower still stands, because it’s the only place they’ll get a signal strong enough to get to Hopper, Joyce, and Murray underground. The three of them apparently agreed to a two-person plan to shut down the gate opener thing, only to change it to a three-person plan that also involves blowing it up. I’m not sure why this is there, especially when we never really know the two-person plan.

The plan for the others is to just get to safety. El apparently no longer has use of her powers, so if they run into trouble, they’re basically fucked. And of course they do. Billy cuts their car’s ignition, so they have to take the ignition line from the car that’s in the mall…
