Tales from the Crypt episode review — 6.6 — The Bribe

This episode is the first in a long time that has not just an interesting story, but a genuinely surprising twist. It strays far from the horror genre, but still gives us plenty of intrigue in a story about a fire inspector (Terry O’Quinn) receiving a bribe from a strip club owner while also dealing with his daughter (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) losing her scholarship.

Benicio Del Toro plays the strip club owner, and while it’s a small role, it’s a pretty good one. Everyone in the episode is well cast, but really the script is what makes this one pretty special.
