Third Viewing: The Stuff (1985)

The Stuff is a fun satirical sci-fi horror movie. It isn’t flawless by any means, and it has some effects that really don’t look all that great. Then again, there’s some awesome body horror stuff.

The movie sort of falls apart in the last act and has kind of a weird ending and a somewhat lackluster climax. But the movie has so much momentum before that. Many of the characters are really enjoyable. You have Michael Moriarty doing his weird charming Southern accent thing.

And Garrett Morris is great. This is a very enjoyable movie, but it probably could have been even greater, if it stuck the landing.
