When one learns anatomy
there is something I have seen
to be sure to expose
when one is new and green.
No matter what veins you know
or muscle origin and insertion
know the difference between
a ligament and a tendon.
If you say “Achilles ligament”
I will slap your stupid face.
If you say, “Anterior Cruciate Tendon”
why, you’re surely a disgrace!
Don’t mess up this simple fact,
for it is widely known.
Tendons link bone to muscle,
and ligaments, bone to bone.
