Cardano is calling all hackers

Asdra Inc.

It was announced last week that Cardano ( $ADA ) and HackerOne will be partnering on their first Bug Bounty program to bug scan for issues that could lead to severe security vulnerabilities. The Cardano Foundation has invited hackers to a high-paying hackathon in response to the recent waves of attacks on crypto exchanges and blockchains.

Identifying an error with Cardano-Wallet can earn hackers up to $7,500 for identifying a critical issue. Furthermore, hackers can earn up to $10,000 per fault if a critical Cardano node is compromised.

What is HackerOne?

Founded in 2012 and is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in London, New York City, Singapore, and the Netherlands, HackerOne is a solution that connects businesses with penetration testers and security researchers. It also offers bug bounty solutions to help organizations reduce security incidents by working with a worldwide community of ethical hackers. Additionally, it’s a security vulnerability disclosure tool.

Finding Cardano vulnerabilities

To help make the Cardano blockchain as reliable and secure as possible, the combined Bug Bounty program will rely on ethical hackers and meticulous processes from HackerOne. Hackers will look into any performance problems in the Cardano codebase to see if they’re a major vulnerability or a potential attack on its core components. In this way, ethical hackers are incentivized to find and disclose vulnerabilities before they do serious harm.

The most stress-tested and meticulously maintained blockchain

As a result of the bug bounty program, Cardano will become the most stress-tested and meticulously maintained blockchain, and will also ensure that stakeholders understand that the protection of users and public data is a priority.
