Fez: The Quick Brown Fox

Alice is investigating a crime and finds a rather strange-looking arrangement of patterns on the seating area in the living room:

So, what did Alice find? Well, when she was younger, she loved playing the Fez game. Overall the game was released in 2012, and allowed the player to solve puzzles. With the game, Gomez gained a fex that discovers a 2D world within a 3D world. His focus is to collect cubes and cube fragments, and thus restore the universe.

Alice remembered that the game integrated a secret cipher language from a Zu people. It had a square with some lines inside:
