Reshaping Our World … with a More Trustworthy Energy Infrastructure and In Creating New Economies

--

Our era will be one of the most disruptive in the history of human kind. We thus have a major challenge in leaving behind a legacy for our next generations. It will be in this era that we move from an industrial age, and project our world into an information age. We must thus move from a wasteful world to one where we understand the true cost of all our interactions with our precious planet. Unfortunately, we have basically “trashed” our world for our own selfish interests. But, how can we move into a new world, without destroying our economic base, and build new data-focused industries? Well, our main focus must be to create a more trustworthy data infrastructure for our energy consumption.

Overall our world of energy is often untrustworthy in terms of the data gathered and in terms the commitments/incentives made. A company might have a carbon offsetting scheme, and contribute to this for the flights that their employees make, but who actually checks these commitments? Within a blockchain world, a smart contract can be created, and which will define the key deliverables and how payments can be made. This can be made completed token-based … a carbon token, and where the token can be traded and exchanged, but the contracts will fully define how payments are made.
