The Monk’s Cipher

Could you come up with a graphical representation of a number, but where you can only use a single character? Well the European monks of the Middle Ages did this with a single character and with strokes to represent the digits. We then have a vertical straight line and then builds on the digit:

The digits from 0–9 appear in the top right hand corner. For the 10s, they appear in the top left hand corner, and so on:
