Which Sci-Fi Writer Do We Need For Our Current World?

--

If you could bring back one great science fiction writer to allow us to make sense of the future of AI (especially on warnings of a dystopian world)? Who would it be?

A. Arthur C Clarke. And who showed us how AI (HAL) could be driven by a mission — no matter for the cost of human life.

B. Issac Asimov. And who showed us why we needed to write some basic rules for robots, and especially that they should not harm us.

C. Douglas Adam. And that robots that had brains the size of the planet could have human traits, too, such as depression and lack of motivation.

D. George Orwell. And that a 1984 world was just around the corner and where every part of our lives was watched and controlled.

E. Ray Bradbury. And a world where we cared little about knowledge and saw it as a threat to our society.

F. Thea von Harbou. And who painted a picture of a future — that was outlined in the 1927 movie Metropolis — where we became slaves to the machine.
