As we might witness the first signs of a crypto spring, team Ash just kept moving during the winter to stay warm — and we pushed it to the limit!

Limiiiiiiiiit

With the recent release of Ash Alpha and a successful Token Application Event with the Melon Technical Council, 2019 started off just right! The goal for this year is to further develop Ash, to build a bigger user base and contribute to the Melon ecosystem by raising attention and enabling everyone to interact with this exciting technology. Our team has been growing together over the last months and we are ready to take Ash to the next level. Here a brief overview of our plans for 2019/20:

1 Testing: “Iterate or die trying” (May — August 2019)

Alpha wrap up 🌯

Ash Alpha has been a great success with over a 100 individuals and projects participating in the closed testing round. Our tester’s feedback has been crucial to validate assumptions and identify room for optimization. The sheer amount of positive reactions was a beautiful compensation for all of the past month’s work. We are thankful for all the support and it feels amazing to see that people love what we build.

Ash Beta 🤳

With Ash Beta we want to invite the public and increase our user base. Until today, we registered more than 500 Beta testers already. This is a solid starting point for the next testing round. In the coming weeks we will incorporate the Alpha feedback and prepare the launch of Ash Beta. We can’t wait to see more people trying the app, challenging each other in the VS mode and sharing their experiences with us. You can sign up for Ash Beta via ash.finance

2 Giving back (September — December 2019)

Generic Ash interface 🌍

The Melon protocol is build upon open source spirit. We also want to enable to use our work, develop it, improve it and deploy it for their own cause. This is why we will open source several Ash elements. We start with a generic version of the Ash interface, so that everyone interested in building a user-friendly application on top of Melon has a ready-to-go interface.

Giveth module 🥰

Since the very first time we heard of Giveth, we wanted to integrate it into Ash to provide users with a simple way to transform their mix into an impact investment fund. For that we need to integrate a module that enables connections of a Melon fund to the Giveth smart contracts, so users can browse through NGOs and charity projects and connect them to their mix. As another example how to interact with Melon and build modules, we will open source the Giveth module.

Ash hackathon ⛺️

Open source projects like Melon need a strong developer community interested in testing and constantly improving the software. Apart from contributing our open source work we also want to mobilize devs in the crypto space to join us. Hence, we will organize a Ash hackathon (most probably in the finance hub Frankfurt, Germany) that will be focused on Melon modules, Ash features and further gaming elements. Together with new developers looking into Melon and with “old pros” we want to join at this hackathon to realize our vision of #defi. More information on time, location and participation will be released closer to the date. If you are interested in building stuff with us, get in touch via hi@ash.finance.

3 Expanding (January — April 2020)

Copy-trading 🔍

On of Ash’s core ideas is that new users can pick profitable asset mixes to invest in directly from our ranking. This way, skilled users get the chance to monetize their fund management talent even if they run a mix with little AUM. To allow this we need to implement a copy-trading structure, a component that connects to the corresponding module and enables this kind of transactions. This copy-trading module will be open sourced, too.

Multi-Manager-Funds 👫

The Multi-Manager-Funds module allows users to get together in groups to manage funds and invest in a joint endeavour. Depending on the settings of a MMF, decisions about investments are made via voting. Combining MMFs and the VS mode we can’t wait to see clans and teams rising and battling each other. The MMF module is another element that will be open sourced.

Beta Tournament 🏆

With the fundamental functionality of Ash running on Kovan testnet and more users onboard it’s time to get serious — it’s time for the first Ash Tournament. The Beta Tournament will give our users the chance to show their asset management skills and monetize them. Our prize pool will reward the best users of each level according to their performance. Depending on our development progress the Beta Tournament is going to start at the end of this milestone phase and will last 4 to 6 weeks.

We want to thank everyone who has been following our journey and who has been supporting us until here. Feel free to join us on Telegram to get in touch and receive important updates. Stay tuned and see you in the Beta Season!
