Dorothee Schumacher is well known for her use of playful, feminine and sexy details. Often we see these in her use of strategically placed rhinestones, detachable embroidery, delicate hemlines, or peek-a-boo style fabrics, such as lace or sheer materials.

What stands out in particular for Fall/Winter 2016 and Resort 2017 are the layering pieces — worn alone they are extremely racy (though not entirely forbidden), but worn underneath a dress or loose fitting blouse, the FEMININE ENERGY TOP adds a touch of romance, femininity and elegance.

Like The Feminine Energy Top, HOLE IT UP from Fall/Winter 2016 is meant to be worn layered with other garments, but it has a more casual look to it. In a sense, it is conservative with its high neckline and hearty fabric, but really, the first things you notice are the sexy, fleshy little polka dots — it’s a subtle tease, striking the perfect balance between naughty and nice.

Worn over a bra, the Hole It Up Top leaves more to the imagination than lingerie, but just as, if not much more, sexy.
