In order to tackle complex global challenges like the climate crisis, ending poverty, providing water and sanitation to everyone on the planet, ensuring every child completes their education, we need collective action, leveraging diverse and unexpected resources to bring about systemic and transformational change.
Partnerships have been recognised as so crucial to achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that they got a goal of their own — Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
So how can we best collaborate across sectors to find and co-create new solutions to the world’s most complex challenges? What does it take to build a multi-sector hub — a safe space for the people, public and private sectors to come together for social good?
Hub-In-A-Box is a new, interactive knowledge sharing platform that shares how to harness the power of collaboration for greater impact and build an innovative multi-sector partnering hub.
When Asia P3 Hub was getting started — building our multi-sector partnership platform to tackle poverty issues — we couldn’t find any innovative, collaboration-focused initiatives that we could model ourselves on. So, we took the idea of a hub focused on incubating collaborative ideas and new partnerships wrestling collectively with complex social challenges, and we built it from scratch, sailing the ship while we built it.
We’re open-sourcing what we’ve done and what we learned along the way, sharing what worked and what didn’t, so that you can learn from our 3 years of experience and experimentation — how we built a multi-sector partnering hub and you can too.
The new platform houses interactive modules, video tutorials, practical how-to content, best practices, tools, resources and frameworks, our lessons learned and critical success factors, and a downloadable toolkit. It’s all in one place — so we’ve coined it the ‘Hub-in-a-Box’.
