This picture of a traditional dance in Papua was taken on the 5th of February 2012. There was an inauguration of a church in our area, Waskam village, located at Wasior, Wondama Regency in West Papua, Indonesia. Bupati Alberth H Torey, the head of the area was inaugurated at the church building that day.

The traditional dance is a dance about the lives of the people in Papua-Indonesia, which tells the story of the rejection of the gospel when it first came into the indigenous communities that did not know about God. But in the end they were able to accept.

This indigenous dance was held in commemoration of his entrance into the land of gospel Papua-Indonesia. I felt very happy at the time I was taking pictures and I am also proud of the tradition that is still preserved to this day, especially in the area Wasior, Wondama-western Papua.
