Asian Leaders Alliance #StandWithAsians
There is a lot going on and I am really proud to be a part of Asian Leaders Alliance. For those who haven’t been on Slack lately, there have been many conversations of how to bring awareness towards the violence, sino/xenophobia and acts of hate towards Asians. Our ALA community is standing up, by leading tough conversations to drive wider awareness of the pain we are experiencing.
The Asian Leaders Alliance community is partnering with #StandWithAsians to host a day of healing, sharing, awareness, and action. Throughout the day, there will be 17 hours of programming, to share, heal, discuss actions, and change within our community. Here are some calls to action, along with the following.
1 — If possible, take Friday, March 26th off. We call on all AAPI and allies across our ERGs and companies to rally for a virtual walkout from the corporations we power — in some cases, up to 27% of the professional workforce. Join us in this peaceful protest against racism and indifference as we rise up, make our power felt and demand meaningful action. This will only have widespread impact if we all rally across our 140+ companies.
