To our fellow ALA community and members,

We hope you have been taking care of yourselves in midst of the recent events affecting the Asian community. As we continue to process, grieve, and take action, we hope that our community will continue to support one another during this truly difficult time.

As a response to these recent events, we’ve been working with Asian ERG leaders from over 40 companies and organizations to co-create an event with the goal of amplifying Asian voices and fostering cross-company relationships.

We invite you to join us and members of other Asian ERGs on April 20th, at 5PM PT to hear directly from prominent leaders Allen Shim (Slack CFO), Eric Toda (Global Head Social Marketing Facebook), Tammy Cho (Founder #Hateisavirus), and Dion Lim (ABC News Reporter), on their thoughts about the recent events affecting the APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American) community, the role that companies play in supporting marginalized communities, and actionable steps that individuals and allies can take for ongoing change.

The panel will be followed by an opportunity to connect and engage meaningfully with members of other ERGs via breakout sessions. All community members and allies are welcome!

Lastly, we’re raising donations for various organizations who support the Asian community. Our goal is to raise $15,000 for 3 key non-profits. Visit the official event GoFundMe to donate or learn more.

We look forward to seeing you there!
