Dates announced for 2016 U.S.-China Film Summit

The 7th Annual U.S.-China Film Summit will be held November 1–2 at UCLA’s new Luskin Conference Center, Asia Society Southern California announced. The summit is the premier U.S. gathering of Hollywood and Chinese film industry leaders.

Previous summit speakers include IMAX Entertainment CEO Greg Foster; Lionsgate Co-COO Brian Goldsmith; Beijing Film Academy Chairman Hou Guangming; China Film Co-Production Corporation President Miao Xiaotian; Assistant Secretary of State Charles Rivkin; and Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos.

In 2015, the summit honored Chinese director Zhang Yimou and Zhang Zhao, CEO of Le Vision Pictures, who are collaborating on The Great Wall, the biggest U.S.-China co-production to date. It also honored the Beijing Film Academy, China’s top film school and the alma mater of leading acting and directing talent, including Zhang Yimou.

The full agenda and list of honorees will be announced over the next few months.

Beijing Film Academy and UCLA’s China Onscreen Biennial are partners of the 7th Annual U.S.-China Film Summit.
