Ask a Grief Coach is an online column to address commonly received questions in private work with my clients. All names are kept anonymous, and the questions are shared with permission. As you read, keep the context of your own story in mind. No answers found here will apply directly to your circumstance because your grief is unique to you. However, the hope is that you will find tools and tips of support, whether you are the griever or the supporter.

Dear Reader,
For the last two years, you’ve held space for grievers and grief supporters alike through our publication, “Ask A Grief Coach.” This column has been a wonderful way to connect with a community hungry for insight and wisdom on moving through the disenfranchised, ambiguous grief events we all encounter.

But the time for change has arrived. This will be the last article posted on Ask A Grief Coach here on Medium for the foreseeable future. But that doesn’t mean we’re going to stop answering questions!

Going forward, we will be incorporating Ask A Grief Coach into our weekly podcast, Restorative Grief with Mandy Capehart! Our hope is to create a format for consumption that is quick and accessible to anyone moving through their day that might need a little hit of encouragement.

To submit a question, please reach out to me via social media, through my website (MandyCapehart.com), or send a voice message with your question directly via our podcast platform, here. If you’d send an audio message but do NOT want it to be included in the recording, you can say so after sending your message (include it with your name).

I know this column has been meaningful, encouraging, and helpful to so many of you faithful readers. That’s exactly why we are expanding the reach and including your insightful, vulnerable questions on the podcast. Putting every good thing in one location is the best way to keep us all connected, growing, and encouraged together.

So if you’re not already subscribed to Restorative Grief with Mandy Capehart, what are you waiting for?

And if you’re interested in my free, private online grief coaching group, we would be honored to have you! We are currently hosted on Facebook — here’s the group. Feel free to join our movement toward healing!

I am so grateful to each of you for making the time to read, respond, and share this work. Each time you engage with grief literacy, you are creating a more intelligent and psychologically safe environment for yourself and any grievers you encounter. Thank you for being with me in this journey!

With all the hope in the world that you are experiencing realignment with your heart, your mind, your body, and your spirit,

Mandy
