Lonely Taboo

Why is the thing that causes us excruciating pain considered taboo?

Laying in bed, embarrassed of this, trying to figure out the quickest route to the bathroom.

I still don’t feel entirely comfortable talking with my mother about it.

You didn’t go into detail with your college roommate as to why you’re washing your sheets two days in a row.

And my sweet husband? Let’s just say he is witnessing a lot of crying about how much I want a puppy this week. (UGH, Hormones)

Know you are not alone.

Know you don’t have to be embarrassed.

Things will get better.

This thing we face is becoming less and less taboo.

In the meantime, grab a heating pad, some naproxen sodium, and go conquer your day.

I’m rooting for you, friend.
