As 2022 ended, Neo-Gothic horror movies were released, scaring and entertaining us. Still, they also serve as sobering reminders of how much the American patriarchy controls women. With the overturning of Roe v. Wade, this was the year Margaret Atwood’s A Handmaid’s Tale became more real than fiction.
