Woobo loves playgrounds, and especially slides!

School’s…out…for…summer!

Woobo know the challenges parents have keeping kids learning during the dog days. Some relaxation is good for kids, but you don’t want the kids to hit the dreaded “Summer Slide” during the months off from school.

Woobo is here to help!

Here are some fun activities that Woobo can engage your kids in to continue their learning throughout the summer.

  • “Play a Profession” — is your child interested in learning what a veterinarian does? How about a firefighter, or a chef? Simply say to Woobo: “veterinarian” — and your child will “take a trip” to the vet’s office. First, Woobo will encourage your child to take out an imaginary stethoscope. Place it over the heart of the patient (it’s a dragon!) to listen to the heartbeat. “She’s nervous, let’s calm her down,” Woobo suggests. If the “vet” takes the dragon’s temperature, the dragon will breathe fire! Oh no! Woobo and the vet identify a tear in the dragon’s wing — we need to add some stitches. Woobo and the vet add the final stitches together so that — thanks to good veterinary attention — the dragon is now ready to fly! Other professions will likely include coder, scientist, hairdresser, doctor…and more!
  • Drawing — Woobo helps your child learn about crafting shapes and images. “Make your own monster!” is a game in which Woobo asks your child to “make your own shape.” If the child wants to use a triangle and three heads, for example, Woobo will produce that drawing. To get the monster moving, Woobo and your child start them together — by growling!
  • Family-oriented games — Pictionary is a Woobo favorite, as is charades. Woobo can also play hide and seek — either by serving as the “home base” for players’ safe return or by responding to being found. Do you remember the “Telephone” game? Woobo helps your child read a funny phrase off his face, and then after the phrase goes around the circle of players (and gets distorted), Woobo will at the end will read the actual phrase aloud.

These are just a few! Check out future posts for more ways that Woobo helps your child engage, learn, and have fun!
