June arrived, and so did the best perk at ASOS — Summer Hours! Summer hours aren’t just about ending the workweek sooner — they’re about creating space for joy, exploration, and family. Here at ASOS, we believe in balancing hard work with vibrant experiences.

Leaving the office at 3pm on a Friday on a warm summers day.

From June to August, we wrap up our work at 3 PM every Friday, giving us extra time to unwind and dive into summer adventures. 🌞 Here’s a peek at the delightful and diverse ways our teams have been making the most of these great British summer afternoons.

Gareth: The BBQ Maestro & Movie Buff

Gareth swapped his office chair for a grill brush, giving a BBQ a shiny makeover after his daughter’s school fete. But the fun didn’t stop there — Gareth and his kids dashed off to catch Inside Out 2. With a bucket of popcorn in hand, they were ready for an emotional rollercoaster. Gareth’s plan? Wrap up the day in time for the Euros. Multitasking at its finest!

Laura: Scavenger Hunting in Belfast

Laura and the Belfast crew kicked off their summer hours with a thrilling scavenger hunt across the city’s iconic landmarks. Teams raced from the Titanic Quarter to the Giant’s Ring, snapping the most creative photos they could muster. Here’s a glimpse of the team in action — bonus points for the inventive poses and landmarks conquered!

Jim: Exploring the Beauty of Bodmin Moor

Jim and his trusty hound traded the office for the breathtaking landscapes of Bodmin Moor. Their destination? The Cheesewring via Sharptor. A dry walk in the serene countryside provided a perfect escape, with Jim soaking in the panoramic views and his furry friend leading the way. The only thing more refreshing than the moorland breeze was the sense of adventure.

Sam: School Fete Enthusiast

Sam’s Summer Hours took him to his daughter’s school fete, aptly named the ‘Summer Sizzler’. From cotton candy to carnival games, Sam embraced the festive spirit. The laughter of children and the vibrant stalls made for a perfect, sunny afternoon — a wonderful way to celebrate summer with family and community.

Joseph: Bowling and Bruises

Joseph’s summer hours were a strike — or not, depending on his aim! A few of the Android team head out to the local bowling alley which led to some hilarious outcomes, and while Joseph might not be on his way to a pro bowling career, the memories made were worth every gutter ball.

Joel: The Proud Climbing Dad

Finally, I took my daughter, Arya, to an indoor rock climbing centre. Arya tackled the toughest wall and made it to the top, earning me a proud dad moment. A Friday full of proud parenting makes for a perfect early finish Friday!

Cheers to a summer filled with laughter, adventure, and the delightful freedom of those precious extra hours! 🎉
