Dublin has two sides for shopping:
South Side
On the South Side of Dublin, also known as the Grafton Quarter, you’ll find a higher caliber of shopping. There are designer boutiques, department stores and shopping centres with unique and high-end shops. If you’re looking for something expensive at a bargain price, head to Grafton Street or find a gorgeous boutique in some of the beautiful side streets.
North Side
The Northside of Dublin is where you’d go to find all of your high-street favourites. The centre opens late every evening with a 9 pm close time Wed -Fri, so you have plenty of opportunities for a late evening shopping trip. Their January sales are across the entire centre, so you’ll be spoiled for choice.
Kildare Village
We’re cheating on this one as it’s not in Dublin but at just 30-minutes’ drive from Aspect Hotel Dublin, it’s definitely worth a visit to Kildare Village. Ireland’s largest designer outlet has a lot of already discounted luxury designer brands like Tommy Hilfiger, FCUK, Benefit, and Coach and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. It’s especially good to visit during the sales as the prices are at rock bottom. Many designers like to clear out last year’s stock to make way for the new season. It’s hard to get to by public transport and you will need to drive from our Hotel Dublin but luckily, we offer free parking to our guests.
Dundrum Town Centre
Dundrum Town Centre is just 20-minutes from Aspect Hotel Park West and is well worth the trip. The centre has over 160 shops and outlets, so you’ll definitely find what you’re looking for and some bargains along the way. There is a good mixture of high-end stores like BT2 and Hugo Boss and high street favourites like Zara & River Island, not forgetting everyone’s favourite, Penneys (Primark)! Most stores in Dundrum have fantastic January sales too, a perfect excuse for some retail therapy.
