Have you ever run multiple blogs (on different platforms) at the same time? Or has it happened that you urgently need to be away from the computer, and the publication must come out exactly at a specific time, because you need your audience develop a habit to read exactly your blog and exactly at this specific time? Or you just need to create your own blog, and you know even less about blogs than about the Andromeda Nebula, but the Nebula is far away, and the blog should be done by yesterday. I think, these problems are faced by those whose work is related to the promotion of specific products on the Internet, as well as those who are simply looking for publicity for their own creative products.
To make bloggers’ lives easier several programs and applications have been created. Today I would like to talk about one of these programs and show how it works — Open Live Writer.
This program has to be downloaded and installed on your working machine. It does not take up much space and is quite easy to use.
The only inconvenience: you should remember which resource you have a blog on, as well as the login and password the program will ask you to enter when you try to open it.
Then everything is much simpler. You just tap — as in Word document — and import into the blog.
You can tap the title of the post in a special string.
Below — on a white background — you can tap the text of the post.
At this stage, you can add a picture, video, table or emoticon (both from your own computer and from the Internet) — these are the most necessary tools that usually cause the most difficulties when creating a blog post.
Here you can also add a horizontal line, which is practically impossible when editing a blog visually, for example, on WordPress.
The advantage of the program is the presence of all the settings that Word document contains. So since most users who uses a computer at least at the level of a typewriter are somehow familiar with Word, editing the text here is much easier than in the blog itself on the platform.
To publish the text on the blog, it’s enough to choose the Publish function. Also you can publish the text in the form of a draft.
After you have selected the Publish feature, you will be asked for your blog password again. On the one hand, it is not very convenient, after all the time you have to remember passwords. And on the other hand, it protects you from the fact that someone can make a post on your blog instead of you.
However, if you are sure that no one but you is using your computer, you can choose the Remember my password function.
Once the post has loaded, a browser will open with your blog showing the new post.
Your post will be looked like this (on the picture).
This program allows you to set the date of publication, and the computer (if it is connected to the Internet) will do everything for you.
