Easy Form Signing: Step-by-Step Guide (part 2)

In previous article, we discussed the process of converting a hand-filled form into a computer-fillable PDF format. In this section, we will focus on the steps involved in adding a digital and graphic signature to your newly created form.

Just a quick reminder: there are two types of signatures we can use — digital and graphic. In order to provide a thorough demonstration, we will now proceed to add both types of signatures to our form.

To add a signature to our form, we navigate to the designated area within the document.

From there, we access the Digital Signature tool from the menu options and simply drag it to the desired position for the signature placement.

Save the document with the updated signature placement and reopen it for further modifications.

Click on the designated area within the document to add a digital signature.

Enter the required details in the settings, which is a straightforward process, especially if you have a PDF subscription and your data is already stored in your account. For those using an older version that doesn’t require a subscription, simply access the settings and manually enter the necessary information.

At this stage, you have the option to specify the details, view the metadata, or proceed directly to working with the signature.

Then you should select the type of digital signature.

Your choice depends entirely on your requirements. In my case, I opted for a token since I already possess one. However, if you don’t have a token, you can utilize Adobe Acrobat’s secure protocol to apply a signature or choose to add a file signature instead.

Then just press “Continue” button.

At this stage, you have the option to include a graphic signature or even incorporate a personalized seal in the form of an image if necessary. This allows for additional customization and the inclusion of visual elements to enhance the authenticity and personalization of the document.

You can choose to use either the graphic or digital signature, or a combination of both. The final version of your PDF document will display the signatures you have added, ensuring its authenticity and personalization.

This is just scratching the surface of what PDF can do. Stay tuned for upcoming publications where we will delve deeper into its vast array of possibilities and explore even more features and functionalities.
