These are from me to you. I am old. I’ve learned things along the way.

The List

  1. Most things are not as black and white as you think. We live in a world of extremes, but every answer lies somewhere on the spectrum between each exacerbated end.
  2. Your level of self-awareness is directly related to your level of happiness. The more you understand yourself, the happier you will be.
  3. Repairing your circadian rhythm will dramatically impact your life more positively than ever imagined. Go to bed at the same time every night. Wake up at the same time every morning. Get right outside. (Read The Circadian Code by Dr. Satchin Panda)
  4. Focusing on being interested instead of interesting will make far deeper connections in your life.
  5. Most people are way too worried about their own shit to be worried about yours. You aren’t that important. Neither are they.
  6. Imagine if you could repurpose all of your time on social media in your lifetime into learning. Where would you be right now?
  7. Room color matters.
  8. If you want to deepen your understanding of people, leave echo chambers and talk to people who believe the opposite of you.
