Forgive but Don’t Forget

You should be forgiving
To move on in life
For no one else but you

You should also remember
What caused the pain and
What did it cost you

To live peacefully
One must learn to forgive
To keep on living peacefully
One must not forget

If someone hurts you once
Forgive the person
If someone hurts you twice
Forgive yourself

Forgive but not forget
Make it your life’s motto
Make it your slogan
You will win the fight
Without using a single weapon
