If I Could

Might I take — ?

If I could

Might I take your lungs
so that I may breathe?

If I may

Can I have your heart
so my chest might beat?

We can deal in mutuals

Have my eyes — to see
my vision is of only you

Have my tongue — to savor
your taste, divine delicacy

If we can

Let us mend our pieces
To make something whole
