It’s Not About You

A Poem

These things I say
The way I am
These shackles I bear
The tenor of my voice
My eyes
My shrug
My sigh
My every single movement
My procrastination
These words
Those memories
Your perspective
of me
When seen through the glasses you wear
I have to tell you something
It’s not about you
