Peeling My Layers Off

I peeled the first layer off
the shell of self-doubt
I love my body
My soul said out loud
While peeling off the second layer
My self-worth started shining
I never felt so beautiful before
My heart laughed and my lips were smiling
Along with the third layer
My fear ran away
The sky looked clear
It felt like a new day
When I peeled off the last layer
My self-confidence returned
Whenever my mind
chooses to wallow in doubt
My soul says to me
Look in the mirror
