they cannot cage our dreams
we have got ideas as our wings
we must learn to fly
the whole world is our sky

keep walking even if
it is a lonely walk
when words become our strength
the shadows also stir
erasing the difference
between his and her

enough of body shaming
enough of name-calling
A woman symbolizes fortitude
they will have to understand

we dream, we have wings
their hollow social norms
cannot restrain us
they do not accept this fact
because they don’t want to adjust

we have freedom
to decide for ourselves
we must know our worth

we know every road
we have studied the dust
we know where to go
they just don’t know it yet
