What I Learned About Being a Good Neighbor
One negative experience as a child colored my feelings about an icon for far too long.
Like most people, I grew up watching Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who grew up in the 70s, 80s, or 90s who did not recognize the iconic lyrics of “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?”
