Your current situation is by no means an indication of your future. Change is at your fingertips.

I know it’s hard to hold on to hope when you’re struggling to understand the chaos of life. You feel like you have no one in your corner. It seems impossible to find people who care.

I know it’s hard to hold on to your expectations and desires when you can’t see a way forward. You feel like life as you know it, is over.

Your life isn’t over. You’re stuck in a concept called end of history illusion, which says we underestimate the amount of future self-change we can achieve. We’re only done changing when we stop believing in our capacity for change.

We tell ourselves that the person we are today is the person we’re going to be forever. As a result, we can’t possibly see a way out of our current rut.

We underestimate the amount of effort and perseverance that change involves. It’s the work of a lifetime. Don’t evaluate your life by only where you are now. Look at the past, present and future versions of you. Look at where you came from, revel in where you are, and look ahead to where…
