App marketing includes a wide range of topics in its nature. Therefore, It is essential to define the steps when working on a mobile app to run its marketing activities. In the beginning, there are a lot of data to inspire from the industry but you should know where you get the data you need. I will try to mention which tools might be used to work on mobile app marketing respectively on this post.

1. Market Intelligence

Let’s think that you have to make competitor research for the mobile app you will launch. Using Sensor Tower as a tool might be helpful in that topic with its install, revenue, and RPD(revenue per download) data with the country breakdowns. Even reaching these data can show the demand of the users for this app category. After that, you can define your first market as a country when you consider the volume of installation and the country is the most revenue acquired. RPD also puts light on what should your CPI to acquire per user in a profitable way and your possible gain in the future.

In addition to these, Sensor Tower shows the rankings and reviews of competitor apps on its dashboard. Examining the rankings and reviews of your competitors give you a clue to strengthen yourself in that area. Also, you can gain knowledge about the creatives of your competitors to inspire them. Demographics of users to reach the right audience like gender and age help you to know your target audience when you’re ready to publish marketing campaigns. Last but not least, there are some other tools to help you with these topics like Appfigures and Mobile Action.

2. Paywall Service

On the other hand, if you will have a subscription revenue model on your mobile app, you can find some paywall management tools to track the data, make quick differences in your paywall design, and do A/B testing on paywalls. I will give my examples of Deepwall in there, as one of the paywall management tools I used. There are lots of theme templates to use or test it. After you’ve defined your actions there, you can specify your selected paywall for any country with any price to show your users in each action on the mobile app. The most exciting part there, doing A/B tests for the newly designed paywalls. Please notice that keep the differences less if it is possible to get meaningful results.

3. Mobile Measurement Partner

Appsflyer is a third-party attribution service to collect all your marketing activities data, it’s called MMP(Mobile Measurement Partner). It helps about improving your marketing campaign’s performance if you’re working on different ad networks at the same time. You can easily analyze the performance deeply for every ad network or the specific campaigns on the significant ad network with its spending and revenue. When you have to make a quick decision reliably, there is an opportunity with Appsflyer. 4. App Analytics

Appfigures presents comprehensive app analytics to track easily your mobile app’s performance in terms of ad spend, installation numbers, ad revenue, or in-app purchase revenue at basic if you have one. Besides, it helps to define keywords for your Google Ads and Search Ads marketing campaigns. If you want to get an insight into your target audience’s search on the stores, you can check out the competitor keywords part of Appfigures. You can get the all keywords by rank, popularity, and competitiveness with the country breakdown. Then, you can add these keywords to your campaign on the ad networks to compete with your rival. Furthermore, you can track the rankings for specific keywords for your mobile app. Updates of the ranking for each country can be tracked by this method handily.
