Astarter building DeFi infrastructure incentive alignment.
Developing a leading DefI infrastructure hub on Cardano is an ongoing process that brings new challenges and hurdles at every milestone on the road to exciting new product releases. Our technical team doesn’t take shortcuts or compromise on security to achieve the project’s long-term aims of a community-driven DeFi infrastructure hub on Cardano. There are no Ethereum EVM Solidity Smart Contract forks, and developers proficient in coding Cardano Smart Contracts are few and far between. We have always maintained that Astarter applications fully interact with the Cardano blockchain with Haskell code written from the ground up, leveraging robust Plutus Smart Contracts, so we embraced the challenges of this new emerging technology. In 2023, Astarter DEX underwent beta testing and auditing of our Plutus V2 Smart contracts and is currently available in a live beta release on the Cardano mainnet.
The release of Astarter DEX V2 on Cardano mainnet enables AMM token swaps in a live environment; the incentivized beta brought actual load and usage to help determine current and future scale and throughput requirements. ADEX has a two-step Matchmaker transaction process. Matchmaker enables ADEX to handle 3–5 requests per block, an improvement over other AMM DEXs on Cardano.
Focusing development on optimized Plutus V2 smart contracts, positions Astarter in readiness for our launchpad, AA token launch, money market, and tech service products, as detailed on our 2024 roadmap.
Community
Our next step for ADEX is to increase transaction throughput and enhance concurrency to reach a potential 25+ transactions per block. We outlined plans for enhanced concurrency in our article titled “Astarter Technical Advancements: Enhancing Concurrency in ADEX” and have since submitted our first Catalyst proposal “Astarter Enhanced Concurrency on Cardano“ seeking community funding for the development.
At Astarter, we take a community-first approach, continually striving to align principles of decentralization and web3 with current and future network participants. We see this community-first approach as being paramount to our project’s success. After all, what purpose would great DeFi products that scale to meet the needs of a flourishing community serve without a vibrant and engaged flourishing community?
Consistency in community programs and campaigns enables the Astarter community to grow. Engaging programs and campaigns during the bear market saw a 30% boost in engagement, our Discord family grew to 15,679 members, and we hit 43,875 followers on X (formerly Twitter). Holding regular X spaces with a vibrant and varied selection of projects on topics covering everything from DeFi, and Stablecoins to Oracles. We joined OKX in a panel discussion on the future of DeFI, Hosted a discussion panel on blockchain possibilities in Africa, teamed up with Wanchain to help bring USDC to Cardano, and hosted a campaign with CNS Cardano as well as Astarter closed and open beta campaigns, summaries and products updates.
Launch incentives
Astarter ISPO pool AA1 has allocated distribution of over 250K AA tokens as staking rewards from the original modest allocation of 500K AA and is currently incrementing rewards to include more ADA and AA during the transition to Merge Staking which will bring even higher rewards to those participating in the Astarter ecosystem.
We have several new campaigns lined up before the ISPO AA allocation is exhausted. The first of these we hope will boost the incentive for joining and continuing participation in the Astarter ISPO through staking ADA to AA1 stake pool.
