Usamos o Simple Present para fatos gerais ou pessoais ou para falar sobre o que usualmente fazemos.Logo, o que estamos fazendo neste exato momento não entra nesse tempo verbo.
Por exemplo: I drink beer > Aqui se entende que esse é um fato sobre você. Você bebe cerveja, mas não está fazendo isso neste momento.
Se você estiver com amigos no bar e alguém te perguntar o que está fazendo, você deve usar o Present Continuous:
I’m drinking beer!
Se vamos falar sobre nosso restaurante favorito e comidas que gostamos de comer devemos utilizar o Simple Present pois esses são fatos sobre você e não ações que estão ocorrendo no momento.

- Love & Drugs On The Streets — Same country, different class. This series from BBC Three follows girls living on the streets of Brighton.Filmed in Brighton and Hove, which has seen the UK’s biggest increase in homelessness over the past year. Even in really not ideal situations we can find acts of kindness that make people go on.
- Search Party: Search Party is a single-camera dark comedy about four self-absorbed twenty-somethings who become entangled in an ominous mystery when a former college acquaintance suddenly disappears. Or when an act of kindness comes from a place of selfishness. The lead character uses kindness as way to give meaning to her own meaningless life — spoiler: it doesn’t work as intended.
