Idea.
The interactive book “Dreams of Alec” was born from the idea of immersing readers into a captivating world of dreams and fantasies. We aimed to create not just a book, but a magical journey where every reader could become part of the story and feel themselves as part of this world. This idea inspired us to develop a new content format, blending elements of literature, art, and interactivity to create a unique and captivating reading experience.
Task and Solution.
Our main task was to create an interactive book that not only captivates with its plot, but also allows the reader to fully immerse themselves in the world of characters. To achieve this goal, we have divided the illustrations into logical parts and transferred them to a three-dimensional space. We also used parallax effects to create a sense of depth and volume of the world around us, increasing reader engagement.
In addition, we incorporated a variety of technical features to enhance the interactive experience. This includes the implementation of an internal mini-game, offering readers the opportunity to engage with the story on a deeper level. We also developed multiple plot development options, allowing readers to choose their own path and shape the outcome of the story. The book features 23 interactive illustrations, each carefully crafted to draw readers further into the narrative.
