In the previous article, we explored the Four Elements — fire, earth, air and water — and demonstrated how they operate as the fundamental “energy substance” of our experience and form the basic building blocks of astrology. In this article, we are going to put the elements to use and demonstrate how the 12 signs of the zodiac are built — from the ground up.
If you haven’t read the previous articles in the series, I suggest you go back and give them a read. Because we are going to build upon the information that we’ve already covered. But just to give a quick summary here…
We started by defining astrology as a language of energy and experience, and we also outlined five fundamental principles that are key to speaking this language of astrology: the elements, the signs, the houses, the planets, and the aspects.
Then we explored the first of those five principles — the Elements. Namely, fire, earth, air and water. These are the metaphysical substances through which all life is made manifest.
