AstroLabs Dubai Celebrates First Anniversary!
It is hard to believe that over a year has passed since officially opening our coworking space, AstroLabs Dubai. With a vibrant community of more than 70 tech startups and growing hailing from all over the world, it has been quite a busy year.
Last month we hosted our community of entrepreneurs for a celebration of our first year together, recapping our joint achievements and looking optimistically toward the future. We proudly announced our new partnership with IBM, who is playing a leading role defining the future of IoT and machine learning with IBM Watson & Bluemix.
We are excited to be collaborating with IBM to further support the companies in our community as well as the overall tech startup ecosystem here in Dubai. IBM joins us as a Strategic Partner, alongside our existing Founding Partners, Google for Entrepreneurs and DMCC. Welcome aboard!
Student Entrepreneurship Program
AstroLabs Academy is proud to announce a special entrepreneurship day for senior university students and fresh graduates!
This event will be a great opportunity to learn and network with world class mentors, as well as get involved with future AstroLabs workshops and events.

MITEF Arab Startup Competition
The MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) for the Pan Arab Region, in partnership with Community Jameel, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Abdul Latif Jameel, and Zain Group, a leading mobile telecom innovator across the Middle East and Africa, announces the launch of the tenth edition of the MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition.
As with last year’s edition, this year’s competition includes three different tracks: Ideas, Startups, and Social Entrepreneurship, with total prize money on offer totalling USD $160,000. Each of the three tracks will award the first three ranked winners with cash prizes in addition to many other benefits including: top tier training, mentorship, coaching, media exposure, and great networking opportunities.
