Salut mes amis! While writing these lines today, I got surprised by great news: the folks at Streamdata.io and Axway joined forces to advance event-driven APIs for its customers. It makes me so happy to see that AsyncAPI has contributed to “validate Streamdata’s focus”. Congratulations!

Welcome Jonathan Schabowsky

I would like to welcome Jonathan Schabowsky, senior architect in Solace’s Office of the CTO. Jonathan has made significant contributions to the specification in the last months, especially those making sure we establish solid foundations to grow the specification in a healthy way. And also caring about the future of the initiative, leading the Solace sponsorship. Bienvenido, amigo!

Onboarding new members

This week I also started an effort to document everything you need to know in order to become a regular contributor or maintainer of the project. I’m asking for your help here, especially if you know nothing about AsyncAPI, because that will give us a unique vision of the documentation and what needs to be improved.

Plans, plans, plans

Now that we have version 2 of the specification almost finished, I wanted to take the opportunity this week to start planning and coordinating efforts for the release announcement. There’s not much to share here yet but I can only tell you it’s going to be sweet. Stay tuned!

AsyncAPI SIG meeting

We had our bi-weekly SIG meeting this week where we discussed the plans and the release announcement. And it’s now uploaded to our Youtube channel.

Donate

And last but not least, we’re running a sponsorship campaign. We’ve got different tiers so that everybody can show their love! ❤️

Donate here. Help Open Source projects.

“All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press on to your destination.”

— Earl Nightingale

See you next week, folks! 👋
