Cacophony

Hello,

I hope you’re doing well.

I was thinking about the way that lives are cacophonous

displays of symphonies —

hiding deep within the stories we store

underneath.

We’re hidden under layers of subterfuge

its as if though we’re all waiting for the deluge

to burst forth from us like tidal waves

into the beaches on the edge of our own realities.

Listen to the voices that call out in droves.

The dove chirps on the breeze,

whispering subtle melodies; memories

of a time before the war —

a time before the crushing weight of life

pulled all of it into the tempest.
