Real Estate Professionals: Here are 4 Ways to Ignite Productivity at Your Home Office
Real estate agents can work from home, especially as more brokerages now focus on going virtual. Here a few ideas to help you set up your home office.
1 — Create your space.
Being able to find a dedicated workspace is essential to get you focused. At all cost, you must avoid family rooms or kitchen as a home office it’ll lead you to distractions. Make sure there’s proper lighting and that the room you work in is comfortable. Of course, having windows in your office inspire creativity.
2 — Adopt technology.
It increases your efficiency no matter where you’re working. Communication services, cloud storage, and fax can turn your personal computer or laptop into a fully functional office no matter where you are.
3 — Don’t mix personal and professional.
I remember this firsthand as it was a rookie mistake on my end, you must let everyone know that being at home doesn’t mean you’re available for lengthy conversations. Make sure that your lunch dates are with prospects or agents.
Don’t check Facebook as it can have a significant impact on your productivity if you’re not using it for ads or connecting with prospects or actual clients.
4 — Plan for everything.
Working from home can be very distracting from your social media profiles to that laundry duty, or taking a long lunch. It’s critical for you to outline a clear daily schedule, and stick to it.
