Near and Aurora now supported on 1RPC
Delighted to share that 1RPC now supports NEAR and Aurora.
At its core, users’ identities are made up of huge swathes of data, which makes data sovereignty surprisingly hard to achieve — with every interaction, we profile and give away more of our digital identity, sometimes even unwittingly. As a one-click solution to eradicate metadata exposure and leakage, 1RPC is a free relay to privacy-protect users.
We’ve also recently introduced 1RPC+ in private alpha to pilot some exciting features. Watch this space as the waitlist is currently at capacity — we hope to start inviting members very soon.
Use 1RPC on Near and Aurora
While the current user experience in Web3 can be a real head-scratcher, using 1RPC with Aurora Labs is incredibly simple. Here’s how in just a few steps:
- Click on “Add 1RPC to wallet”
- Search for Aurora
- Click on the MetaMask icon to switch to 1RPC instantly
With Aurora connected to the NEAR Team through NETH, a smart contract that allows users to pair and control their NEAR accounts from their Ethereum equivalent, users can also now sign transactions and interact with dApps on NEAR through MetaMask.
Native support for NEAR on OneKey
Users on OneKey, an all-in-one crypto wallet with nearly a million users from 166 countries on five continents — and a wallet partner of 1RPC, will be able to switch to 1RPC node endpoint within the wallet seamlessly on both mobile and desktop:
- Switch to the NEAR network by clicking on Chains
- Click on the button icon located besides the network name
- Select 1RPC NEAR URL on the RPC node page

For the developer community building on NEAR, we’ve shared an example of how to use the 1RPC endpoint with the network above. All you need to do is replace the node URL with the custom URL for NEAR: https://1rpc.io/near
