Our Partnership with MathChain

We’re excited to announce our partnership with MathChain, the Layer 2 blockchain based on Substrate. Through this collaboration, we will extend support for to developers and projects on the platform, further building out private, off-chain governance in the Polkadot ecosystem.

The integration of Witness is motivated not only by the privacy aspect of the governance solution, and we’re equally excited about extending the same easy-to-use experience for our community to discuss, participate in and play an active role in MathChain’s growth.

- Eric Yu, CTO at MathChain

For background, offers gasless voting with the option for voters to choose between various privacy levels, determining how different parameters — voter address, number of votes, voting results—are displayed. At present, Witness supports Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon as well as other Substrate-based EVM-compatible chains.

Blockchain citizenship will be remote, voluntary and decentralised, and the societal value of having privacy incorporated as part of that future is clear. What we have seen with Witness is that the industry is also catching up with this demand, which is encouraging.
